Job Details

Under supervision of the Ecology Coordinator, the successful candidate will perform the following main missions:
-        To re construct animal specimens (birds, mammals, reptiles) into lifelike representations for display or use in protocols 
-        To record the data (details of creations).
-        To monitor and ensure the maintenance of materials.
-        To participate to the public awareness events.
-        To respect the organization and work methods within a team.

Job Requirement: 

-        To have an excellent knowledge of the animal anatomy and the natural habitat.
-        Must be able to collect unworked specimens for future taxidermy.
-        Must be able to select specimens as required according to age, sex and breeding condition (such as, birds with breeding plumage)
-        Must be able to select good quality specimens: including to be clean, undamaged, well furred or well feathered and without excessive body fat.
-        To have an expertise in freezing of specimens in appropriate conditions and carefully remove and tan (preserve) the animal’s skin.

Saary: AED 6000-7000 + FAT at site
