Position: Quality Technician 
Job Location – Dubai / Abu Dhabi

Qualification – Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent diploma from HCT

Job Summery: 
Undertake the sample testing and analysis from raw materials to finished products to check compliance with quality specifications and feedback observations on any deviation from standards 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Undertake the testing and analysis of raw materials, WIP cable samples and finished products to check compliance with customer specifications and feedback observations on any deviation from standards to the Testing Engineer and the materials department
• Evaluate test results, generate a non-conformance report and inform the relevant department to take correction and corrective action on the non-conforming products
•  Report test result feedback and comments to the Testing Engineer to resolve customer complaints and improve customer satisfaction
• Implement all relevant HSE policies, procedures & guidelines in the test area and laboratory
• Implement all Standard Operating Procedures and processes
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives for innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Monitor and report test results of new and existing products to enable corrections to the process and support continuous improvement
• Identify the location of faults in faulty cables to take preventive and corrective action
• Analyze and evaluate test results to recommend corrective action for non-conforming products to the Testing Engineer
• Carry out calibration of measuring and monitoring equipment following the approved schedule to establish the accuracy and reliability of instruments and equipment readings within international standards
• Arrange for instruments, used as Master Reference standards, to be calibrated by external agencies so that their integrity, accuracy and Reference standards are preserved

Job Requirements: 

• preferred Degree in Engineering or Physics or Chemistry or equivalent with training in testing of a variety of cables. Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 specifications
• Cable testing skills, good communication and time management
• 5 or more years of relevant experience, within a large industrial plant, preferably in the Cable industry with at least 3 years in cable testing
• Candidates can be from across the globe
