Position: Resident Engineer – Electrical (Substation)

key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of substation electrical engineering during design and construction supervision.
• Supervise and manage technical works for 400kV / 220kV / 132kV substations on behalf of the Client (TRANSCO).
• Oversee site activities and ensure construction strictly follows approved designs.
• Monitor, report, and resolve non-conformance issues.
• Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and inspection activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards throughout project execution.
• Manage client and customer interfaces to ensure strong relationships and effective communication.
• Review, verify, and close out installed quantities.
• Provide progress reports and advise on technical solutions where required

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering with a focus on substation projects in the UAE.
• Strong technical expertise in substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV).
• Skilled in site supervision, project management, and construction monitoring.
• Knowledge of utility requirements, contract procedures, and QA/QC processes.
• Prior experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred
