Job Responsibilities & Requirements - The successful candidate will develop more logistics business by hunting for new clients. While their focus should be a minimum of 75% on Ship Spares logistics / Ship Spares in Transit, they should also be able to sell and develop traditional Freight Forwarding business and other products from UAE’s Logistics portfolio.
- As part of their duties, he/she will promote Logistics Services through commercial activities such as sales call visits (locally and overseas), conduct telemarketing to develop the business, and actively be involved in CRM activities with the objective of customer retention and loyalty.
- The candidate will also provide support to prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations and meet sales KPIs and targets.
- As a member of the SSIT & Commercial team, he/she will gather and analyse information on the logistics market to contribute to the success of the team and the division. He/she should be able to cross-sell other GAC services when such opportunity arises.
- Excellent contacts in the maritime industry
- Business development responsibility – identify and target new customers for ship spares forwarding business
- Ability to develop and execute marketing and sales strategies to expand the business portfolio
- Ensure good communication with all departments within UAE
- Respond to Spot / RFP / RFQs from customers and lead client engagements
- Responsible for developing local relationships and business development opportunities with strategically important customers
- Responsible for the financial management of customer solutions to ensure prices quoted deliver the required level of profit to UAE
- Support Business Development colleagues across the globe in relevant and appropriate sales engagements
