A Senior Civil Engineer with substation experience plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and overseeing large-scale construction projects, particularly in high-voltage transmission lines and substations. Here's a breakdown of the job:

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and Planning: Lead the planning and design process for civil engineering projects, including substations and high-voltage transmission lines.
- Project Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely completion and compliance with engineering standards.
- Structural Design and Analysis: Design and analyze structural systems for substations, including precast and cast-in-situ components, and perform structural analysis and design of cable tunnels, cable trenches, and duct banks.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to deliver efficient and safe designs.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure structural designs comply with international design codes, load requirements, seismic considerations, and site-specific conditions 

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in substation projects or similar infrastructure development, with experience working with TRANSCO or similar organizations being a plus.
- Skills:
    - Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
    - Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    - Familiarity with international structural design codes (SBC, ACI, AISC, IBC) 

Preferred Experience:

- Experience working on high-voltage transmission lines and substations, particularly with organizations like TAQA, TRANSCO, or DEWA.
- Experience with design and construction of substation buildings, switchyards, and associated infrastructure
