We are in the lookout for a Product Development & Quality Control Chef for our client, who would be responsible for creating of new recipes and quality control all F&B products. Central kitchen based role. Good knowledge of new trends and ingredients. 

Job responsibilities: 
  • Developing new recipes.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of the ever-changing food and wellness market and consumer trends to develop a robust pipeline of innovation recipes.
  • Research, translate and implement new product and ingredient trends; focus on quality, health and convenience.
  • Brainstorming ideas for new products or existing product modifications/add-ons
  • Work with the nutrition team to make sure all development follows guidelines of nutrition.
  • Collaborate with the team in conducting shelf-life, sensory, product performance, and quality attribute testing of meals as part of the development process.
  • Support with the optimization and reformulation of existing products for cost, nutrition and quality.
  •  Insure presentation and styling of all dishes to the highest standard.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of test kitchen work, including formula, ingredients used, and cooking/processing procedures.
  • Execute R&D and food quality/safety assigned projects.
  • Translate research findings into meaningful business opportunities and communicate to cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage internal and external partners during all stages of development.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Validate all current recipes on a daily basis and come up with suggestions for improvement.
  • Work with the Senior Chefs and make sure that the team follows the right cooking practices, and provide necessary training.
  • Monitors  quality control process for Kitchen scale ups of approved recipes before implementation including providing a finalized recipe, instructions, and demonstration/training of outlet and kitchen staff on how to make the recipe, along with ‘yields test’ and taste test approvals.
  • Works with Nutrition Team to develop annual revisions for menu items or modify existing items based on business need and menu engineering process.
  • Take part in monthly meal plan cycle meeting reviews with Nutrition Team regarding likes/dislikes/ market research and consumer feedback to gain insight on development of cycles.
  • Generates new recipes and modifies recipes monthly for Meal Plans, within set parameters of the Nutrition Guidelines
Job Requirements: 
·       Diploma/Equivalent in Culinary Arts/Equivalent
·       Minimum 5 years’ of experience in a kitchen with a focus on menu development, food preparation, and production
·       Commitment to quality service, accuracy and food knowledge
·       Extensive experience in menu development
