Compliance Officer
Compliance Officer
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage compliance with financial regulations and requirements across multiple jurisdictions, including Comoros, South Africa, Mauritius, and Seychelles (UAE is a plus).
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance framework, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions, providing guidance to the business on compliance risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with local regulatory authorities in Comoros, South Africa, Mauritius, and Seychelles (UAE is a plus), ensuring timely submission of reports, filings, and responses to inquiries.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments, identifying potential gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Train and educate employees on compliance requirements, ensuring that all staff understand and adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
- Investigate and manage any compliance breaches or issues, reporting to the regulators and the senior management, working with legal and management teams to resolve them effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with external advisors, regulators, and other key stakeholders in the relevant jurisdictions.
- Support the business in obtaining and maintaining regulatory licenses in various jurisdictions, including preparing necessary documentation and liaising with regulators.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Experience in the FX and CFDs industry is a must.
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks in Comoros, South Africa, Mauritius, and Seychelles, with a solid understanding of financial laws and compliance requirements in these jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of Forex trading and financial markets, with an ability to apply regulatory insights to business operations.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with regulators and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to compliance.
- Familiarity with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, know-your-customer (KYC) procedures, and CDD international compliance standards.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages relevant to the jurisdictions (such as Arabic) are a plus.
