Position: Draftsman - heavy lift

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Draftsman to support our engineering and operations team. The role focuses on preparing technical drawings and lifting documentation for heavy lift, construction, and industrial projects in Dubai/UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed lift plans, method statement drawings, and lifting studies
• Develop site layouts, transport drawings, and engineering sketches
• Produce civil and mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and STAAD
• Coordinate with engineers, lifting supervisors, and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy
• Revise drawings based on site feedback and design changes
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure version control
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and client standards

Requirements: 

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Proficient in AutoCAD and STAAD – both Civil and Mechanical modules
• Experience in preparing lift plans, method statement drawings, site layouts, transport drawings, lifting studies, and engineering sketches
• 2-3+ years of drafting experience; previous exposure to heavy lift, construction, or industrial projects preferred
• Strong understanding of rigging, crane layouts, and load path drawings
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
