Job Summary:
 
We are seeking an experienced Draftsman to join our client’s team in a Landscaping Contracting Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and designs for landscaping projects, including residential and commercial developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
1. Design and Drafting:
    - Prepare detailed drawings and designs for landscaping projects, including plans, elevations, and sections.
    - Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's design standards and guidelines.
    - Collaborate with designers, architects, and engineers to ensure that designs meet project requirements and are constructible.
2. Computer-Aided Design (CAD):
    - Utilize CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Sketch Up, Ravit to prepare and modify drawings and designs.
    - Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of CAD software and its applications in landscaping design.
3. Project Coordination:
    - Coordinate with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs are accurate and meet project requirements.
    - Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including plans, specifications, and estimates.
4. Quality Control:
    - Review and check drawings and designs for accuracy and completeness.
    - Ensure that designs meet company standards and guidelines, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
    - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including designers, architects, and engineers.
    - Communicate with external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
    - Prepare and submit reports, including design reports and project updates.
 
Requirements:
 
1. Education:
    - Diploma or certificate in drafting, design, or a related field.
2. Experience:
    - Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting and design, preferably in a landscaping contracting company.
3. Skills:
    - Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software.
    - Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    - Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
    - Strong knowledge of design principles and practices, including landscaping design.
4. Certifications:
    - Certification in drafting or design, such as CADD or CADT, is an asset.
