Position: Quantity Surveyor E&I
Job Location: Abu Dhabi

Industry: Oil & Gas 
Experience:  Minimum 5 years’ experience with Quantity surveying, Billing in Oil & Gas Subcontracting Companies.
 
Job responsibilities 
  • Prepare detailed measurement sheets and bills of quantities for construction projects. Responsible for checking the measurement, re-measurement on quantities of the Work in line with the Contract Qualifications (preambles) through the Construction stages. Monitoring and including the milestone payments.
  • Develop and submit Interim Payment Applications (IPAs) and progress claims. Good experience in Quantity surveying and billing (invoicing) related to electrical, instrumentation, telcom and Cathodic protection systems. Quantification of structural support  erection for Pipe rack cable ladder systems, Substation and Control room equipment’s.
  • Calculate and verify quantities for ongoing construction tasks as required. Responsible for monitoring the performance of awarded subcontracts, service contracts checking and agreeing the accuracy of monthly payment applications during the life of the subcontract and at completion of the work.
  • Review and validate subcontractor measurements and payment requests. Should have knowledge in the work sequences and site activities in different size of cable laying, termination.
  • Should have experienced the quantity surveying of different type of panels for electrical, instrumentation and telecom etc.
  • Should have knowledge in calibration, tubing, leak testing of instrument tubing etc in calculating the joint measurement sheet.
  • Prepares Bill of Quantities from cable layout drawing, general arrangement drawings for inside the buildings, HVAC systems, lighting, earthing and lightning protection systems.
  • To formulate change orders to existing subcontracts for change in scope and / or pricing.
  •  Assistance in the preparation of change orders to main contract and subcontract between company, main Contractor, subcontracts
  • Will be responsible for timely preparation, submission and getting approval on monthly progress quantities and submit the monthly progress invoices to main contractor.
  • Maintains records and tracks Bill of Quantities and other measurements according to the approved
Academic Qualification
 Graduate / Diploma in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering

·       Proposal of New Unit rates submission of missing unit rate items in BOQ.
·       Estimation of additional work items based on site instruction and submission.
·       Checks, verifies and maintains records of built/ site measurements and quantifications for further approval from client.
·       Assist Certification of Subcontractor’s or supplier’s invoices
·       Calculation of project invoice / Cost for Balance work completion
·       Assess and prepare claims from suppliers and prepare counter claims and defense.
·       Preparing financial statements on Actual cost and balance cost for completion of project.
