Role Overview:
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Chief Operating Officer with a Civil Engineering background to lead operations for a contracting company in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee overall operations, P&L, and performance of all construction projects
• Drive operational strategy, business growth, and organizational efficiency
• Lead and manage project directors, project managers, and functional heads (Engineering, QS, Procurement, HSE)
• Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget, quality, and HSE standards
• Strengthen client relationships, government authorities, and consultant liaison in Abu Dhabi
• Review and approve project budgets, cash flow, claims, and commercial matters
• Implement systems, processes, and best practices to improve productivity
• Report directly to CEO/Managing Director on business performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering – Mandatory18-20+ years in UAE/GCC with strong Contracting Company background (Buildings / Infrastructure)
• Proven experience in COO / Operations Director / Senior Project Director roleIn-depth knowledge of UAE  market, authorities, and contracting business
• Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management
